For my senior year independent project at American University, I explored the topic of how adoption shapes identity. As someone who is adopted, I often find myself struggling to define who I am and where I belong. With this project I explored my own identity along with fellow adoptees at American University. I composed a photo essay and short animation (above) to express the complex feelings and experiences that come with being adopted.
